Research Notes
The process of planning the gathering EUROSPHERE data and their processing required many decisions to be made. These decisions needed to be justified scientifically, disseminated among the researchers doing the fieldwork and processing, and all involved researchers needed to adhere to the same procedures. For these purposes many Research Notes were produced, initially for internal use within the project. The Eurosphere Research Notes that we publicize here (see below) contain the final products from the internal discussion papers, including the rules for the selection of organizations and elites to be interviewed, the project’s data collection and online data registration tools and guidelines, reliability reports, the country report format and the results of the post-coding process. These Research Notes now serve both as publications in applied research methodology and as documentation of the EUROSPHERE data for external and internal users.
